The President of GSA will gladly speak with any group about the purpose of GSA and the benefits we provide to all graduate and professional students at UGA. In order to schedule a speaking engagement, please send a request to gsa@uga.edu Thank you for your interest in the Graduate Student Association.

The first official GSA meeting of the semester took place on January 26, 2010. Thank you to everyone who attended. If you were unable to attend, we encourage you to review the meeting minutes. Our next meeting will take place in February 2010, date and time to be announced.
Because additional students want to participate in the GSA Interdisciplinary Conference, being held on Saturday, March 27, GSA is extending the deadline to submit research abstracts to January 31, 2010. This will give students another chance to submit their research abstract and participate in the conference.
To find more information about how to submit abstracts, please visit our conference website at: http://sites.google.com/site/ugaconferencesite/home. Again, we want to emphasize that ALL disciplines and fields are invited and we are accepting very broad and creative interpretations of "health." Right now we have a lot of submissions in public health, psychology, and the sciences, but desire more submissions from additional fields. In addition, we are accepting abstracts for research in any stage, whether it is completely finished and published, in progress, or a future research proposal. We look forward to all the submissions. Please e-mail us if you have any additional questions at ugaconference@gmail.com.
