Lauren Moret

Vice-President

Lauren Moret is a third year Ph.D. student in the department of Educational Administration and Policy. Originally from the Bahamas, Lauren grew up in Marietta, GA. After completing her Bachelor’s from UGA, she moved to NYC and began a career in advertising. She eventually moved to northern California with a client before leaving advertising and fell back on her teaching degree.

While her research interests vary widely, she is currently focused on K-12 school leadership preparation and school leader cultural competency practices in the supervision and evaluation of teachers. She is a Qualitative researcher and enjoys talking about philosophy, art, human behavior, and books.

She's looking forward to serving as an ally and advocate for the Graduate Student Association. Specifically, she looks forward to working with a group to plan the Interdisciplinary Conference held annually by the GSA. Additionally, she looks forward to meeting more people and getting informed of the work graduate and professional students are taking on across our campus.
