PhD Movie Screening

In an effort to provide a haven from all the hard work that graduate students are engaged in this semester the GSA is working with the Graduate School to screen a copy of Jorge Cham's latest creation, the PhD Movie, here at UGA. Though an exact date of the screening has not been set it will likely be in early to mid-October.

More details will be released once all negotiations have been finalized.

Summer Health Insurance

Information for Students about summer health insurance. From Arch news;

Some students at UGA are REQUIRED to have health insurance.

Students who are NOT required to have health insurance may be eligible to enroll in the Voluntary Plan, administered by Pearce & Pearce for the

University System of Georgia. In order to be covered during the summer only (coverage from May 1 - July 31, 2011), you must enroll by Tuesday. June 7.

If you purchased health insurance coverage during spring semester, your coverage currently continues until July 31, 2011, and you do not need to purchase summer-only coverage.

If you are interested in coverage through the student voluntary plan, you may read more about the mandatory plans, voluntary plan, and eligibility requirements on the Human Resources Web site: www.hr.uga.edu (select "Student Health Insurance").
