The Graduate Student Association (GSA) is a representative student government and advocacy group working for over 8,000 graduate and professional students at the University of Georgia. We advance student rights and interests, hold exciting socials, organize community service events, and keep students informed about issues relevant to graduate student life at UGA.

The University of Georgia Graduate School Outreach and Diversity Office is honored to host its 9th annual Future Scholars Visitation Program on November 8 - November 10, 2009. Seniors, masters and/or professional students, as well as graduates from colleges and universities across the United States, including minority-serving institutions and graduate preparation programs are invited to apply.
This three-day event includes the opportunity for participants to:
1. Meet academic administrators
2. Discuss program and research interests with department faculty
3. Network with current and other prospective graduate students
4. Participate in workshops about admissions, research and funding opportunities
The UGA Graduate School will cover participants lodging and most meals during the program. All selected participants will receive an application fee waiver for their UGA graduate school application. Up to $100 reimbursed travel expenses (including airline, shuttle and/or mileage). Current UGA students are not eligible for reimbursement of travel expenses. Documentation will be required for all reimbursement requests.
To be considered in the selection process, interested students must submit the required application materials by the priority, but not final deadline of Friday, September 11, 2009. PLEASE NOTE: Applications will be accepted through Friday, October 10, 2009.
