This is a reminder to all graduate and professional students that the enrollment period for health insurance coverage through the University System of Georgia plan is in progress. The enrollment/waiver period ends on September 2, 2010 for coverage running from August 1 – December 31, 2010. If you are in a position that requires mandatory coverage, make sure to enroll to avoid delays in processing.
For complete information regarding mandatory and voluntary coverage, please visit the UGA Human Resources Department’s page discussing the details of the waiver period HERE. If you have specific concerns with your health insurance coverage, please contact UGA Human Resources at gshiplan@uga.edu or 706-542-2222.
GSA has been working with the UGA Administration and the Human Resources department to convey student concerns with health insurance. Health insurance coverage is a priority for graduate students, and GSA will continue to advocate for the student body. If you have questions or concerns regarding GSA’s role in Health Insurance, please contact, Jason O’Rouke, GSA President at gsa@uga.edu.
